Arima Onsen

Arima Onsen — Japan's oldest hot spring resort, nestled in the Rokko mountains above Kobe — enchants with two unique spring types found nowhere else on earth: the rust-coloured kinsen (gold water) rich in iron and saline minerals, and the clear ginsen (silver water) with its radioactive radium properties. The historic machiya inn streets of Arima have hosted emperors and samurai for over 1,300 years.
